Easement Rights
Definition:
A right-of-way granted to a person, organization, or government authorizing access to or over the owner’s land.
Examples:
The easement on his property that allows the city snow plows to get to the main highway means that his driveway never fills up with snow.
When the county roads department decided to add a bypass to the industrial district, they had to purchase easements from all of the property owners in the area.
